4 ways of engagement by Jon and Valeria

#1
We talked about how James Turrel and Gotdon Matta Clark have modified or created structures to be able to appreciate a outlined space:

So the idea that is to create walls that play as a map to follow on the garden and that can also frame specific spots of the garden. Meaning the walls would haves some kind of window that allows us to see the garden.
In order to develop this idea we would have to study the garden and talk about what are the specific locations that have more power in relation to our thesis of creating connection.

#2
RAISED PICNIC SPOTS
Coming back to the idea of playing with the interaction of the venue (people, garden, food relation) we were thinking about creating this elevated structures at the garden where people could sit and spent time maybe even create a more intimate dynamic.
I like the idea of playing with the food like
Grant Achatz who as a chef pre stablish ways of approaching food.

Also taught about Maya Lin when we talk about elevating the floor level always with grass.

#3
Fake plants! A contemporary "TROMPE L'OEIl"
Coming back with patty s idea of how can we engage and connect with the place we were thinking about juxtaposing the plants that are already stablish at the place with plastic plants that look highly similar. It would be like a quit camouflage happening at CASALIN

#4
A holographic Carpet
Based in Wolfgang laib s work and also Jean Claude and Christo, we thought about covering the floor of CASALIN garden with a holographic fabric. The measures of the space would be highly important so the carpet unfolds perfectly in the space and our piece would just work in this place.

  1. Val and Jon I posted two images of an Architect/Artist called Sou Fujimoto, I mentioned I was really attracted to one of his structures (wooden House)precisely because of the windows that the overlapped peaces of wood would create from the inside (this is a walk through "sculpture"). I like this idea lets make some sketches!
